Age Requirements
- The renter must be at least 23 years old
Driver’s Licence
- The renter must hold a valid driving licence issued a minimum of 1 year prior to the date of pickup.
- Citizens of the EU, USA, Canada, and Australia require a national driving licence. Nationals of other countries must possess both their national driving licence and an international driving permit.
Vehicle Pick Up and Drop Off
- Free pick-up and drop-off are available at various locations within Kalamata and surrounding areas.
- The renter must present their valid driving licence, passport or ID card, and personal credit card upon vehicle collection. Payment can be made in cash, or by debit or credit card, but a credit card is needed for the insurance deductible or excess.
- Prior to signing the Rental Agreement, the renter must inspect the vehicle for any pre-existing damage and report it.
- The vehicle will be provided in a clean, well-maintained condition and must be returned in the same state.
- The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was picked up, otherwise, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel.
- Any stains requiring special cleaning will incur an additional cleaning fee.
Minimum Rental Period
- The minimum rental period is 24 hours. For every hour of delay in returning the vehicle beyond this period, the customer will be charged one fifth of the daily rate.
Insurance Policy
- Vehicles are insured for third-party liability (death, injury, and property damage).
- All vehicles come with Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance. If any damage occurs to the rented vehicle, the renter will incur a deductible or excess charge. (Charge of excess depends on the make and model of vehicle rented.)
- Insurance does not provide coverage for damage or theft caused by the renter’s fault or negligence, violation of Greek traffic laws, damage to the tires and undercarriage of the vehicle, damage from driving on unpaved roads.
- The renter is responsible for promptly reporting lost keys to AutoHub Rent-A-Car and bears the cost of key replacement.
Accidents and Traffic Violations
- The renter is accountable for any traffic or parking violations and associated fines during the rental period.
- In the event of an accident, the renter must gather relevant information, notify AutoHub Rent-A-Car promptly, and contact the police. Failure to comply makes the renter liable for resulting damages.
Restrictions
- The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities or to transport prohibited substances.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited, and the renter assumes liability for resulting damages.
- The renter is prohibited from performing vehicle repairs, part replacements, or modifications.
- Driving the vehicle outside Greek territory or loading it onto a ferry requires written authorization from AutoHub Rent-A-Car.
